The Georgian Townhouse | Norfolk Wedding Photography | Neil & Louise
My last wedding of the summer season (I have a couple of weddings very close to Christmas!) was at The Georgian Townhouse in Norwich. There are some lovely spots for some cracking photos in the city centre, so we headed to The Plantation Gardens.

The Georgian Townhouse is exactly as the name would suggest, located close to Norwich city centre on Unthank Road.

It was my first wedding to photograph at this venue and it didn’t disappoint!
Neil and Louise met me at their home a few weeks before the big day with their two grown up children and they explained how their perfect day would go.
It was another fine sunny day and the sunlight shone through the traditional sash windows onto Louise where she was having her make up done in one of the upstairs guest rooms, this made for a cracking make up shot!

The boys arrived suited and booted and headed, as tradition dictates, to the bar to be welcomed by their awaiting guests.
Neil and Louise had wanted a smallish wedding with close family and friends, so this suited the venue perfectly with their formal dining room seating around 40 guests.

Unusually for a city centre venue, The Georgian House Hotel has a lovely decent sized outdoor space perfect for drinks, the family group shots and some confetti throwing!

Whisking away the NEW Mr & Mrs
After the formalities we headed on foot to the Plantation Gardens for some more private couple shots and a chance for the newlyweds to take a few moments of peace and quiet. The gardens are like an oasis in the city, very hidden and unspoiled and offer a totally unique backdrop for photos.

It’s always great fun to walk anywhere public with a bride and groom, cars honk their horns, people wave and congratulate and briefly the wedding photographer turns into the paparazzi!
Here are a few more of my favourite images from the day. Looking for your Norfolk Wedding Photographer? Then check out some of my work and let’s have a chat!
