It’s always lovely to have someone book you through a recommendation. When I met with Susanna and Matt, I could tell this was going to be a great wedding at Low Barn Farm Fundenhall!

A mixture of grandeur with the remarkable Wymondham Abbey and rustic charm with a traditional marquee at the idillic Low Barn Farm at Fundenhall.

Inside Wymondham Abbey at the wedding ceremony of Susanna & Matt. Bride & groom stood at the alter with the vicar.

After the service, whilst the guests jumped on board the coach for the venue, we stayed behind to snap some photos at The Abbey. We had just 20 minutes for the new Mr & Mrs Arthurton to catch their breath and enjoy a few first pictures as a married couple.

Once again the sun shone on a pleasantly warm day, perfect wedding weather!

I have been blessed with being able to photograph so many amazing weddings where at the end of the day I could quite easily of stayed for the whole evening. This was no exception! Susanna’s extended family are from Poland and many had made the journey to celebrate with them. What was their contribution to the wedding? Vodka of course, direct from Poland! So every time there was a toast in the speeches, the vodka shots came out!

And what a great team of suppliers they had pulled together for their day! Susanna’s perfect dress was from Adella Bridal, with the boys suited up from Next. Bring together RLA Wedding Designs and One Curious Dream and you have a marquee decorated to perfection with floral displays and rustic charm. Plus strings of festoon lighting, which came to life as the evening approached.

I was with Susanna from her bridal preparation at home, (remarkably calm I must add) all through the day until just after their first dance, which Matt and Susanna had asked the band to learn for them! I have followed the guys from The Walks for a few years now, so I knew that they would be in for a great nights entertainment. As promised they performed Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’ with authentic ease.
