Farm Wedding | Suffolk Wedding Photography | Beth & Nuno
Today I am casting my mind back to a hot summers day in August 2018 for the wedding of Beth & Nuno.
I have known Beth for many years from my Young Farmer days. Her and Nuno met each other at work. After a whirlwind romance, Nuno proposed on Beth’s birthday. A true romantic!

The wedding took place on the family farm in Mendham, which is pretty much on the Norfolk Suffolk border. It is a very picturesque part of the world and happens to be just right on my doorstep!
I arrived at the farm early to capture the marquee (provided by Newmans Marquees) looking rather splendid in the sunshine on the lawn in front of the house. The interior was decked out by local company The Banqueting Hire Service.

Fizz & Bacon Rolls
In the house, the bridal party were popping open the fizz and tucking into bacon rolls whilst putting the finishing touches to their make-up and hair. Meanwhile, Beth’s Dad was still hard at work on the farm doing the many jobs required on the day to day running of the family business. I did have to remind him of the time and jeer him up a little! Being a typical male, he knew it wouldn’t take him long to get suited and booted ready for his daughters big day.

As I write this, my thoughts go out to Beth and family, as her Dad passed away a few months later. At least he got to see his daughter wed. My photos were some of the last pictures of him and I’m so glad that I was able to capture those moments for his family to treasure.

The wedding was full of laughter from start to finish. Just down the road from the farm, the couple tied the knot in the local church before heading back to the marquee for an afternoon and evening of celebration.

We snuck away into the field and the rest of the farm for some couple shots. Harvest was done and the straw bales were stacked up high. It seemed apt that the happy couple should have some photos in the countryside. We even managed to get some of the guests involved to do a YFC! photo in the style of YMCA infront of the bales.

dancing the night away
As always, the day seemed to fly by! Before I knew it, the couple were having their first dance and everyone was dancing the night away!
