Coldham Hall | Norfolk Wedding Photography | Kimberley & Dave

Last month saw the wedding of Kimberley and Dave at the hidden gem Coldham Hall nestled on Surlingham broad. I first met the happy couple at The Kimberley Hall Wedding Fair and was pleased to discover a number of other fab Norfolk wedding suppliers there who were also exhibiting at Kimberley that day, had also been chosen for this wedding.

It was a stunning day with ceremony chairs lined up on the riverbank awaiting the arrival of the bride. What a picturesque place to tie the knot!

The venue is a bit of a hidden gem, off the beaten track. In fact, you are more likely to discover it by boat, so there was lots of waving and horns blowing from passing boats of all sizes.

The sun shone brightly as Kimberley arrived flanked by her bridesmaids and arm in arm with her Father as they made their way down the isle on the riverbank.

There was a lovely traditional marquee in the gardens for the reception and inevitable dancing later but for now the sun was out and the drinks were served after the I do’s. With some awesome live music by the couples friends during the afternoon, the whole place was alive with all of the guests on their feet enjoying the music (and wine).

What a view!

I managed to steal the newlyweds away from the party for a short while to make the most of such a stunning backdrop. Water, blue skies, sunshine, boats, and a happy couple very much in love – who could ask for more?

Later the irresistible smell of a hog roast filled the air and before you could say ‘apple sauce’ a rather large queue had formed without us!

These guys had some talented friends, as previously mentioned some of the band members were friends – but the cake! Well it was a macaron tower! What a sight, I timed it right when they were building it as there were a couple left over. I offered to try one from a quality control point perspective.
