Chaucer Barn | Norfolk Wedding Photography | Rebecca & Ekwa

This week is all about the charming Chaucer Barn in Norfolk. There are so many wedding venues in Norfolk, but I think this place happens to be one of my favourites. The venue provides a totally blank canvas for couples to create their wedding day exactly how they wish, making it totally unique to them.

Rebecca & Ekwa tied the knot at Chaucer Barn back in August 2018.

Just a recap for new blog readers – as weddings are currently on hold due to Covid-19, I’m reminiscing about weddings that have been and gone and were before I started blogging.

Anyway, back to Ekwa & Rebecca’s wedding.

a little more about the day

The ceremony took place in wooded ceremony area, which is a short walk across an open meadow at Chaucer Barn. It is a magical space tucked away in its own little valley. Beautiful trees and peaceful surroundings make it a truly special place to say I do. If you aren’t familiar with the venue then I would definitely recommend that you check out their website.

The wedding was a colourful mix of cultures, bringing together African and English traditions. It was the perfect fusion. A particular highlight from their day was the fantastic live African steel band entertaining guests. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the band, as I would recommend them to any couple looking for some fabulous music during the drinks reception. Sometimes that time after the ceremony and prior to the wedding breakfast can be a funny kind of time when people are lulling around and not really sure what to do whilst they wait to sit down and dine. The music was the perfect background and made everyone smile that bit more, especially on such a sunny day!

Enough from me about the wedding. Check out the photos from their day which speak a thousand words!

And remember if you like my style, then head to the Investment page to see if I tick that important box (hopefully I will!) and then drop me an email or pick up the phone to check to see if I am available on your wedding day. Good luck with your own wedding planning and enjoy the pics!
