The Boat House

The Boat House at Ormesby is an idyllic waterside wedding venue.

It is an extremely sought after location in Norfolk to get married at. With exclusive use of the venue together with the boat ride on the private broad, it is also a photographers dream with countless picture opportunities.

The interior is very modern and contemporary. It provides a neutral backdrop to any wedding decor to enable you to bring your own style to the day. They also have some luxury lodges to stay in or for bridal prep on the day. That’s certainly a winner to have everything in one place for the whole day.

WHAT MAKES IT STAND OUT?

So I guess you may be wondering what else makes it stand out above other venues. Well, weather dependant, you can say your I do’s outside in the Wedding Arbour. It’s pretty picturesque if I do say so myself. Oh and did I mention the boat? Read on…

AHOY THERE CAPTAIN!

Do you want to make an arrival to the wedding? Why wouldn’t you? It’s your day after all! Well you can do just that here. How many people can say that arrived by boat to their wedding? Whats great about the boat is that it will transport you in all weathers, so you don’t have to worry that it will be called off if there is a torrential downpour (but I’ll certainly keep my fingers crossed that there won’t be!)

A particular favourite here is enjoying the boat ride with the happy couple. Yes that’s right. After the I do’s, you get to take the boat out onto the Ormesby broad. Whether you want to kick back, sip champagne and enjoy those first few moments of married life whilst being chauffeur driven (is that the right word for a boat?!) around the broad or if you want to pop on the Captain’s hat and drive yourself, either way, I’ll capture the love, laughter and happiness.
